Microsoft has announced
on Tuesday that the "Skype for Outlook.com" service become available
to all users around the world.
To get this service,
which is an integration of the chat service "Skype" in the e-mail
service "Outlook.com", the user must install special plug-in in the
Internet browser that runs it, such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, MozillaFirefox and Safari.
Then, who have an account
at the "Skype" service can link it with the e-mail service for
"Microsoft".
And upon installing the
necessary plug-in for this feature, users can make voice and video calls
directly from their inbox in their accounts on "Outlook.com", without
having to get out of the service and go to the "Skype" program.
Microsoft seeks through
this feature to compete with "Google" that has linked the chat
service "Hangouts" with the e-mail service "Gmail".
To get the plug-in:
Go to this link, then
click on Get Started, then download and install the plug-in.
I mentioned that Skype itself can be used for video calls, but this plugin is just to receive voice calls via Skype.
