CES 2014: Fujifilm Unveils Portable Instant Photo Printer for Smart Devices

Fujifilm Company has unveiled its new printer "Instax Share SP-1", which is characterized by small size in addition to the ability to print captured images using smart devices, whether phones or tablets.


Fujifilm explained that the Instax Share SP-1 printer comes with application compatible with Apple smart devices which running iOS operating system, as well as Android smart devices.

The company said that the application allows the user to print photos immediately after taking them, or prints images already exists on his smartphone, or import images from his account on Facebook and Instagram.

The printer providing instant pictures the size of credit cards, nearly the size of 3.4 inches, and is characterized by its ability to complete the printing operations without the need to be connected to a source of electricity.

The Instax Share SP-1 printer includes new battery able to withstand even print a hundred image, where the process of printing one picture take nearly 16 seconds.

The company confirmed that the new printer weighing about 253 grams, which is able to connect to the Internet via the "Wi-Fi", as it is able to print instant images for once or several times automatically.

Fujifilm will put "Instax Share SP-1" printer in the month of April this year, at price of $199, and it will provide the printer with films box which includes 10 films ready to print them, at price of $20.95.

CES 2014: Sony Unveils Eloctronic Bracelet Capable of Tracking Daily Activity of User

Sony Company has unveiled a new electronic bracelet through its participation in the exhibition CES 2014 which is currently taking place in Las Vegas city, and extended until the tenth of the current January.


The new electronic bracelet from Sony carries the name "Smart Band", it can track user activity daily, thanks to a digital device called the "Core" where it built with the bracelet.

The company added that the bracelet can track user activity since he woke up until bedtime, where can account steps by the user during the day, and the duration of driving a bike or a car, and calculate the rate of fat burning.


The bracelets can calculate the number of hours that the user sleeps, as well as the number of hours listening to music via the smartphone, the number of hours making calls, and the number of times to take pictures.

Sony electronic bracelets have additional functionality such as alert the user via the vibration when it received a phone call, and music control function that works on smart devices associated with it.

Sony explained that the bracelet "Smart Band" capable display the user activity of the wearer using an application called "LifeLog", dedicated to smart devices running Android operating system.

The Japanese company did not disclose a specific date for the launch of the new electronic bracelet, and it is noteworthy that the "Smart Band" bracelet will be available in several colors are black, white, blue, green, orange, pink, pink , yellow and purple.

CES 2014: Samsung Unveils Three Tablets from the "Galaxy Tab Pro" Series

Samsung Company has unveiled three tablets from the new category "Galaxy Tab Pro", the three new tablets is "Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4”, "Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 " and "Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2".


Samsung revealed the three devices at an event held on the sidelines of its participation in the technical exhibition CES 2014 which will be held in the Las Vegas city during the period between 7 to 10 Jan.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 Specifications:

  • Processor:  2.3 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 800.

It is noteworthy that the unveiling of the three tablets that fall under "Galaxy Tab Pro" category came in the same event which saw the launch of the first tablet from "Galaxy Note Pro" category which is "Galaxy Note Pro 12.2", which is characterized by owning a stylus, especially as the four tablets owns Magazine UX user interface that allows users to split their device's interface to boxes for applications and content according to their desires.

Samsung did not specify an exact date for the launch of the new tablets on the market or their prices, but plans to launch those devices during the next few days, particularly before the end of the first quarter of this year, which expires at the end of next March.

CES 2014: Intel Announces New Name of "McAfee Security"

Intel Company, the owner of the "McAfee" competent in the field of computers and Internet security software, has announced changing the brand of McAfee anti-virus from "McAfee Security" to "Intel Security".


This came during a speech of Intel CEO "Brian Krzanic" during Intel participation in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2014).

It is expected that the process takes a year to change the brand, according to Krzanic, Intel will bring the anti-virus to every mobile device, including phones, tablets, and wearable devices.

CES 2014: Heapsylon Company Unveils "Sensoria" Smart Sock

Heapsylon Company has unveiled number of wearable devices allocated to monitor user physicist activity, including smart sock and smart shirt.
The application which accompanying to "Sensoria" sock shows many of the information that benefit the user during sport activity, such as the distance that has been traveled, the number of steps, the number of calories burned, and the distribution of pressure on all parts of the foot during running, which helps the user to know the mistakes that exercised during running.

The smart sock can send alerts appear on the user's phone when he committed errors, such as touching the heel of the foot while running before the forefront.

The company said that the smart sock is washable, and comes with it a letter bracelet installed on the sock on the top of the foot, and it can contact the smartphone and transmit data over Bluetooth.

The company also revealed a shirt with a built-in device to monitor heart rate and transfer the data to the smartphone.

The application of "Heapsylon" wearable devices is available on "Android ", "iOS" and “Windows Phone 8" operating system, these devices will be available for sale during the next spring.

CES 2014: Samsung Unveils its New Tablet "Galaxy Note Pro 12.2"

Samsung Company has unveiled the first tablet in the new series "Galaxy Note Pro", the new device carries the name "Galaxy Note Pro 12.2".


The new tablet is the first device from Samsung which has 12.2 inch screen, the screen from the type of Super Clear LCD and features a resolution of 1600 × 2560 pixels, and the density of 247 pixels per inch.

Samsung explained, at an event held on the sidelines of its participation in the technical exhibition CES 2014 which will be held in Las Vegas City during the period between the 7th to 10th of January, that the tablet includes a stylus and is available in multi copies of the processor and memory storage.
  
Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 powered by Exynos 5 Octa eight-core processor, which operates at speeds of 1.9 GHz, this processor dedicated for devices that will support third-generation communications networks.
  
In contrast, Samsung supported another version of the new tablet by 2.3 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor from "Qualcomm" to support the fourth-generation communications networks.
The new tablet will be available in two versions, the first with 64 GB internal memory storage capacity, and the other with 32 GB internal memory storage.
  
The accuracy of the background camera in the new "Galaxy Note Pro 12.2" 8 megapixel, while the accuracy of the front camera 2 megapixel, and the capacity of the battery of this tablet 9500 mAh.
  
Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 running "Android Kit Kat 4.4" operating system, the device provided with new user interface called Magazine UX, which allows the user to convert the interface of his tablet into a set of adjusted squares depending on his usage.
  
Samsung intends to put its first tablet from "Galaxy Note Pro" series during the first quarter of this year, but the South Korean company did not disclose the price of the device yet.





CES 2014: Sony Unveils "Xperia Z1 Compact" Smartphone, the Mini Version of Xperia Z1

Sony has unveiled its new smartphone "Xperia Z1 Compact",  which is a smaller version of the Xperia Z1 smartphone.


Sony explained in an event held on the sidelines of its participation in the technical exhibition CES 2014, the new smartphone has 4.3 inch screen with HD resolution and density of pixels estimated at 341 pixels per inch.

The new smartphone powered by 2.2 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor from "Qualcomm", and Adreno 330 chip for graphics processing.

Xperia Z1 Compact provided by 2 GB random access memory, and 16 GB of internal memory storage expandable via Micro SD external memory card up to 64 GB.

The phone running Android 4.3 operating system, and Sony intends to support the device with "Android Kit Kat 4.4" operating system soon, the phone also supports Near Field Communication "NFC" and " Bluetooth 4.0".

Sony supported its new smartphone by 20.7 megapixels rear camera with "Carl Zeiss" lenses and auto-focus feature in addition to LED flash light, also it has 2 megapixels front-facing camera.

Sony confirmed that the rear and front cameras are able to record Full HD video with speed of 30 frames per second, also confirmed that the phone will receive 2300 mAh battery.

Sony plans to launch the smartphone next month in a number of global markets, but the company did not disclose the price of it, the device will be available in four primary colors are black, white, pink and yellow.

It is noteworthy that the new smartphone features resistant to water and dust, which supports the work under the water a distance of five feet for 30 consecutive minutes.

CES 2014: Intel Unveils "Edison" Computer the Size of an SD Card

Intel has unveiled a tiny computer dedicated to wearable devices, during Consumer Electronics Show "CES 2014" currently taking place in Las Vegas city of America.
  

The new computer carrying the name "Edison", and comes to the size and shape of the "SD" memory card, it is powered by "Quark" dual-core processor, which announced by Intel last September and dedicated to wearable market devices , as a result of very low energy consumption.
  
"Edison" running Linux operating system, and supports connection to wireless networks "Wi-Fi" and Bluetooth, also Intel designed application store dedicated to this computer.

  
Intel reviewed a number of devices that can benefit from the "Edison" computer, where they can benefit from it in wearable devices are customized to monitor vital signs when some children , and then send alert signals when necessary.
