How to Make Voice Calls Using Facebook Application

Facebook social network is the largest networks on the Internet, and used by more than  billion users, most of users have list of friends close to them and communicate with them on a permanent basis, but the user needs sometimes to communicate voice with his friends, so he resorts to applications such as Viper and others.
The thing which no one know it that there is a service to make voice calls through the Facebook application itself, and also the Facebook Messenger application for Android and iOS.

How to make voice calls using Facebook application:

1- Go to the person you want to call him from chat list.
2- Press the button i located in top.
3- Press the Call button.



If the button is not enabled, the reason is the person you want to call him is not on the site in the same time.

Facebook Announces the Acquisition of "WhatsApp"

Facebook announced that it had acquired the instant messaging application "WhatsApp” in a deal estimated at $16 billion dollars divided between the amount paid in cash and the shares in the company that owns the largest social network on the Internet.


Facebook will pay the amount of $12 billion as shares, while four billion dollars will be paid in cash, according to the report submitted by the company to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

As part of the deal, the working group of "WhatsApp" will join the Facebook, where Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook and its chief executive, confirmed that "WhatsApp" will operate independently within the company.

It is noteworthy that "WhatsApp" was announced last December for the arrival of the number of users of the application to the 400 million monthly active users.

Facebook Allows its Users to Define Gender Without Male or Female

Facebook has launched a new feature that allows users to determine their gender by other than male or female, a feature that launched in conjunction with the global celebration of Valentine's Day. 


Facebook explained that the new feature will help users of the social network on the definition of their identity in better way, where those users are now able to define their gender freely without being bound by male or female. 

Through the new feature, the social network allowed its users a third option as well as male and female, the new option is "Custom", which allows the user to write his gender freely without restriction options.


The gender chosen by the user, within the new feature, will appear in his personal account for the rest of the users, where Facebook confirmed that one of the main reasons for the launch of this feature is to allow all users to share their true sexual identity with others.

The feature is currently available for only 19% of Facebook users, where Facebook began to test the feature to its users in the United States, without revealing any details about the possibility put forward for the rest of users around the world.

It is noteworthy that Facebook used by 1.23 billion active user monthly, including 757 million daily active users, also referred to that about 81% of social network users are from outside the United States.

Facebook Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary and Launched Look Back Page

Facebook has launched a new page on its website allows users to review the most prominent  footage from their personal accounts on the social network.


This page comes on the sidelines of company celebrate 10th anniversary of its founding, where the social networking site came to light for the first time on the fourth of February in 2004. 

Facebook explained  that "Look Back" page will allow the users  to see video combines of the most prominent footage from their personal accounts since they joined the social network.

The video review the first footage of the user on the social network, and the posts that get the most number of likes, as well as the most prominent images that he shared on his personal account.

The user can watch his video through "A Look Back" page, facebook.com/lookback.

The "Facebook" was launched in 2004 as a social network dedicated for communication between American college students , but it evolved during the past ten years to become the largest social network on the Internet.

It is noteworthy that the number of Facebook users had reached 1.23 billion monthly active users by the end of December 2013 , of whom about 757 million active users per day.

Facebook Planing to Add 'Sympathize' Button

Facebook is considering to add a button to show compassion, to be a substitute for "Like" button in instances require negative feelings where requires from the user express his sympathy with friends.


According to a report in "TheTelegraph" newspaper that the "Sympathize button" will appear to users when a user publish a case with negative feeling, to be a substitute for the "Like" button in that case, where the "Like" button is not considered appropriate for situations such as death or divorce.
  
The software engineer in Facebook "Dan Murillo" said that the "Sympathize button" will not appear in all cases, but only in situations that require show compassion .
  
Facebook want to add "Sympathize button" to the social network in response to the wishes of many users , but this time of the launch has not yet arrived, according to "Murillo".
  
It is noteworthy that Facebook had opposed add "Dislike" button  many times, despite numerous campaigns that demanded it to add the button.
  
Facebook is the largest social network in the world, with more than 1.19 billion users from all over the world.

Find Yourself in an Image Combines all Personal Images of Facebook Users


A Programmer called "Natalia Rojas" has created a composite image includes all personal images of all Facebook users, where the number of Facebook users exceeded 1.25 billion user.



The composite image has the name "Faces of Facebook", and it can be enlarged, and it provided the possibility of linking each image with owner's personal page, where images were arranged by the register date of  users from the location of the upper left corner to the lower right.

"Faces of Facebook" is a software application that combine personal images for all old and new Facebook users continuously,  so the image is renewed momentarily, as the user can select and locate the place of his image to come back to it again.

Natalia said that she does not violate privacy laws concerning individuals, and she does not store any personal data of users.
