iOS 14 Gets Official with Android Features

Apple revealed the newest version of its OS, iOS 14. It comes with many new features, most of the new features are from Android OS.



iOS 14 Features:

App Library
By this new feature, you can hide pages of apps you don't use often, and a scroll to the right will let you access your new App Library. It's quite similar to the app drawer on Android phones, the apps are grouped into various categories like Social, Productivity, and Entertainment.



Home Screen Widgets
You can pull the widgets out and into your home screen (just like on Android) and get alternate sizes for them.



Picture-in-Picture Mode
When you are watching a movie on your iPhone but you need to switch to a messaging app to respond to someone, the new picture-in-picture mode means you don't need to hit the pause button. Instead, you'll see a floating screen over your home screen.



New Version of Siri 
Siri now looks like a small bubble at the bottom of the screen and won't take up your whole screen when you just want to ask a question.

Translation App
It supports 11 languages



Messages Improvements
Messages app gets some updates, like pinning people up top in your conversation list, mentions and inline replies in group threads, and new styles for memoji.

Compact incoming calls
Incoming calls now show up as a small dropdown notification that you can simply swipe away to ignore.

Apple Intends to Unveil "iPhone 6" Smartphone on 25 September

Apple intends to unveil the next generation of iPhone smartphone on 25 September this year, according to Chinese website China.com.


The observers says that this date comes contrary to what Apple do, where the date of 25th of September 2014 comes on Thursday, while the company used to unveil the new iPhone in Fridays.

An earlier report in the month of May said that the "Apple" plans to launch "iPhone 6" smartphone on 19 September, which falls on Friday.

According to the leaks, Apple plans to release name "iPhone Air" on the larger version of the "iPhone 6" which comes with 5.5-inch screen.

The report said that 4.7-inch version of the "iPhone 6" will go at a price equivalent to $850, while the 5.5-inch version will offer at a price of $965.

According to previous leaks, "iPhone 6" will come in completely different design, where will come with stronger specifications in terms of screen resolution, processor and larger screen size.

New Leaked Images of 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6

New images was leaked of Apple's next phone; iPhone 6, via the Twitter site by the user @SonnyDickson, which showed the phone with 4.7-inch screen and 5.5-inch screen, where the company is expected to reveal the phone with these two measurements.



The leaked images show the two versions with golden color, the small version "4.7-inch" has metal frame which added by Apple to iPhone 5 to protect the footprint sensor, while the metal frame does not appear on the 5.5-inch version as images show.

The images indicate that Apple has moved the run button of the upper end of the phone to the opposite side of the volume buttons.


It is expected that Apple will reveal the 4.7-inch version of iPhone 6 in next September, while it will reveal the larger version later.

Apple Plans to Unveil "iPhone 6" Smartphone in August

Apple intends to unveil the next generation of iPhone smartphone in the next August, before the normal deadline each year, according to Taiwanese media.


According to the "Economic Daily News" newspaper, the size of the model that will come with 4.7-inch of "iPhone 6" expected to reach stores in the month of next August, without specifying what these markets.

The newspaper reported that the 5.5-inch model or 5.6-inch of iPhone 6 will be launched in the month of September.

Earlier, several sources said that Apple will launch the new generation of iPhone in two versions, the first version with 4.7-inch screen, and the second version with 5.5-inch screen.

The "Economic Daily News" newspaper said that "Apple" may produce 80 million units of the "iPhone 6" during this year.

Observers believe that the trend of "Apple" about the launch versions of screen larger than 4-inch could help it regain market share in the smartphone market.

New Leaked Images of Apple iPhone 6

iPhone 6 May be Launched in Two Screen Sizes at September 2014

Informed sources in one of the manufacturers of screens for the iPhone smartphones, affirmed the intention of Apple to put two different versions in the screen of the new generation of iPhone smartphone.


The sources said that Apple will launch the new generation of iPhone in two versions, the first version with 4.7-inch screen, and the second version with 5.5-inch screen.

The sources pointed out that the companies responsible for the manufacture of liquid crystal displays LCD for the two version of "iPhone 6" will begin operating in the production line of these companies during the second quarter of the current year, which starts in April and ends with the end of next July.

Sharp, Japan display and LG companies will contributes in making of screens of the two versions of Apple's next smartphone, the sources confirmed that the screens will have higher resolution than the current screens.

The sources revealed that Apple plans to unveil the two copies of the smartphone during the month of September, adding that the company began in agreement with the manufacturers of the rest of the phone components on the production deadlines.

It is noteworthy that Samsung, which is the main competitor of Apple in the smartphone market, it has revealed its new smartphone "Galaxy S5" a few weeks ago, while before days HTC launched the smartphone "One M8".

Leaks Reveal more Details about "iPhone 6"

Apple company intends to provide its expected smartphone "iPhone 6" with 8 megapixel rear camera which is the same precision used in the iPhone series from the iPhone 4S, but it will be some developments in the camera.


According to the source who leaked the information through an account on the China's social website "Weibo", the developments in the camera will focus on its strength in photography in dark places by providing it with stronger sensor and aperture lens allow the passage of the greatest light, in addition to the lens made of Sapphire.

The source explained that the camera sensor will be of type "CMOS" , and will be made by Sony Corporation of Japan , while the rest of the ingredients will be made by "LG" South Korea , and "Sharp" Japanese.


Add to this, an image leaked on the Internet purportedly of the front of the "iPhone 6" have looked different in design from the rest of the old models of Apple smartphones , which came without the side edges which increases the measurement of the screen without having to increase the device size.

Report: iPhone 6 may be Available in July 2014 Instead of September

According to several technical websites that Apple will launch its new smartphone "iPhone 6" in the next summer , specifically in the month of July, and that contrary to expectations , which it was expected to be released in September.


The Mizuho Securities company for financial analyzes was provided a report to its clients indicates that Apple will reveal the iPhone 6 in July instead of September or October, as was rumored.

Apple and Google Decide to Ban any Applications Carries the Name "Flappy"

Apple and Google began to ban all applications that bear the name "Flappy" from "App Store" and "Google Play", after the emergence of number of applications that carry malicious software of the same name.


Some of developers took advantage of the big fame achieved by the "Flappy Bird" game, which have been permanently deleted from "App Store" and "Google Play", to launch applications like it contain malicious software aimed at lovers of the game.

Apple and Google have decided to not to approve any requests for the deployment of new applications with the same name of the deleted game, or part of the name on "App Store" or "Google Play", in addition to deleting applications included the name of "Flappy "and located on the stores.

Dozens of application developers forced to change the names of their applications , including applications that do not involve any threats or malicious software, in order to ensure the continued presence on the applications stores of smart devices.


The malicious applications that have been published after deleting of "Flappy Bird" game from "App Store" and "Google Play" was aimed at stealing information for users of smart devices, in addition to exploiting the power to send text messages to carry out commands such as sending short text messages to specific numbers without the knowledge of the owner of the phone.

iPhone 6 may be Thinner and Lighter than its Predecessors

According to a report that the iPhone smartphones and iPad tablets will be bigger in the size, but may be thinner and lighter than its predecessors.


The report was based on sources from some manufacturers for these products , which indicated that the next iPhone "iPhone 6" will be provided by very light structure and 4.7 inch screen with 0.4 mm of side thickness of the screen, which less than 0.2 mm of thickness of the iPhone 5S phone's screen.

The report indicates that the actual launch will be in the month of June, not September, which is the month in which the company usually launches its smartphones.

Apple Wants 22 Million Dollars from Samsung as Compensation for Litigation Expenses

Apple made judicial request to get more than 22 million dollars from Samsung, and that compensation for which the company has spent on the case brought against Samsung, and accused them of violating two patents for "iPhone" and "iPad".
  

Apple demanded Samsung to pay nearly 16 million dollars, pointing out that this amount does not represent nearly a third of the amount recognized as an expense incurred on the case so far.
  
Apple said it incurred about 60 million dollars as fees for lawyers involved in the legal battle against Samsung.
  
Apple added that they want also 6.2 million dollars from Samsung as compensation for expenses other miscellaneous incurred during the case, it also asked the court to approve the compensation after proving intent of Samsung to deliberate violation of two patents for "iPhone" and "iPad".
  
The U.S. court condemned Samsung, last year, of violating patents owned by Apple, the company was fined one billion dollars before they reduce the fine to 599 million dollars for the calculation errors on the part of the jury.
  
It is worth mentioning that Samsung fined about 290 million dollars before days in favor of the Apple, bringing the size of the fines signatory to the Korean company in the United States to nearly 890 million dollars, in addition to the prohibition of a number of its sales in America.

Microsoft Announced New Update of Skype Application for iPhone and iPad

Microsoft has announced a new update of Skype application for iOS operating system, the new update available in two versions for iPhone smartphone and iPad tablet.

The version 4.15 of Skype application for Apple devices has received a new design of sign in page, so as to make it easier for the users to access their account using Skype account or Microsoft account.
  
Microsoft explained that it made improvements in the new version of Skype application and blocked some of the gaps, this leads to increase the speed of the application.
